Brooklyn Based Rapper, Chynna Rogers is dead.

Philadelphia raised model, MC and rapper Chynna Rogers died at the age of 25 years. This is according to John Miller, Chynna’s Manager. Her death was confirmed by her family in a statement through her management. The statement read, “Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.” Another statement from True Panther, her management team, read, “Rest in Peace Chynna. Heartbroken. All the love to those she left behind. Goodbye, angel.” Her family did not give the cause of her death, and so as of now, the cause of her death is not yet known.

Who Is Chynna Rogers?

Chynna was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 19th August 1994. She was raised on the western side of this city. Chynna went to Lankenau High School, where she graduated and relocated to New York City, where she started her modeling and later music careers. Chynna Rogers, popularly known as Chynna, has been in the music and modeling industry since she was a young girl in the early 10’s when she released her first singles. Her modeling career began when she was 14 years old when she signed with Ford Models. This gave her huge exposure, and soon she found a mentor in A$AP Yams when she was a teenager. Chynna’s affiliation with A$AP Mob, A$AP yams as well as New York City sparked her efforts to further grow her career as a rapper. The late Yams greatly contributed to the confidence of Chynna Rogers to join the music industry. Chynna Rogers admitted that her family was in the front line to help her stay sober most of the time. She credited their support and particularly pointing out that her mother was strict. She revealed that her mother’s death did not pose any threat to her sobriety, and she couldn’t use it as an excuse to fall off. After the release of Ninety mixtape, she got many responses from kids, homies, as well as other artists who previously didn’t feel comfortable admitting about what they were going through in regards to substance abuse. We can say that Ninety mixtape was such a breakthrough to most people who were struggling with substance abuse. They were able to realize that more people were going through this struggle. According to James Garrow, a spokesperson for the Department of Public Health in Philadelphia said that Chynna Rogers died as a result of an accidental drug overdose.
